Quicky

"Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from a religious conviction."
Blaise Pascal

Canada day and the fourth were amazing as always. On the fourth I got wonderful news too! I'm going to be an aunt again! My oldest sister is pregnant with her second! It's so exciting!
Thursday I went to the zoo with my two sisters and my niece. It was a lot of fun, we saw lots of different animals and it was awesome to see how niece reacted to them. It was also great to hang out with my sisters. I kinda felt like the odd one out cause I don't have a baby growing inside me but I figured that since I was the one mostly running after my niece it totally made up for it.

Saturday I hiked up Timp mountain. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! I am so out of shape and that hike is for very in shape people. But I did make it to Emerald Lake! Plus I only am kinda sore and I have only one blister. So all in all it was good because I did not die.
I talked in church on Sunday and that almost did kill me. I have to find someway not to be so nervous when I get up in front of a lot of people.

Tonight was an awesomely fun dance FHE. We danced the night away with our awesome Dj Shay. We even got the bishop to dance with us! I also got to talk to some people I haven't seen in a long time. Also the Dustin clone was there, it kinda weirded me out at first cause I thought it was Dustin. But turns out he is still in Ukraine and this kid looks a ton like him.

And tonight I finally commented on Brittany's tattoos. I noticed them the second or third week I started going to this ward. At first I thought they might just be penned on cause Jo used to do that all the time. But the next week they were in the exact same spot and same shade of black so I figured they were permanent. Now for those that don't know me to well I love tattoos. I actually considered being a tattoo artist for a while in High School. So when I see them it gives my heart a little bit of joy. It sounds weird but it's just me.
Anyway I finally said how I like them, they are little stars on her wrist, and she said it meant a lot to her that I would say that. See she left the church for a bit but is back in full swing now and most people judge her cause of them. I think it's funny, we are a church that stresses forgiveness and repentance but we don't actually do it. People who have sinned sexually are labeled with that for the rest of the time they are in that ward or know those people, people who have tattoos are looked upon as sinners and are mostly known as the tattooed one.
An example is that Brittany brought a friend tonight who had a tattoo of the celtic trinity knot on his forearm. I was going to say something about it, how much I liked it basically, but didn't. I told Brittany that and she said I should have because a lot of people will just stare at it and not even pay attention to the fact that he has come back to the church. I know we are all human and we have our faults but not being able to see past stuff like this bugs me. Coexist and all that right?
Random ramble for the night.

I'll judge people for tattoos all the time because I think getting tattoos is unwise. But then again, I have a ton of friends with tattoos. Just because I don't respect the idea of tattoos doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the person. I don't want to spark any bizarre debates, so I'll leave this topic alone, but it's great that you don't object to tattoos, and don't judge people only by their past decisions.
