Job Hunting

“You cannot open a book without learning something.”

Job hunting is not fun. Filling out different applications with the same information over and over again is tiring. I thought that was what a resume was for, fill out all your information once, copy then send it to hundreds of places. I finally learned my High school's address though, to bad I won't need it for anything besides job applications!
Places I've applied:
Barnes and Noble
Good Earth (there was a math test that went with it, hope I did okay on it)
Cowabunga Bay (really hope I get a job here)
Macey's the grocery store

and a few other places that I can't remember at the moment.
Like my AF teacher said, this is the worst time to go out into the world to find a job, to bad I still need the money for school.

Good news is that I got to go work in the garden today, reconnected with the earth and all that ha ha.
Oh and I went to lazer assault for a friends birthday. I proudly say that I was number one once again =} Maybe I should apply to something that involves those skills, like a police officer, or the army or professional paintballer.... Paintballer it is! ha ha

The Semester

"Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story"
- Max Ehrman

So looking back at this semester, I think it was a great one. My grades aren't exactly where I wanted them to be but my life is. I found friends that I will have mostly likely for the next four years and hopefully after that as well. I grew intellectually, spiritually, and sadly physically (sadly because I grew from east to west instead of north to south).
There were so many crazy times that to tell all of them would take several days orally and would probably fill a book or two if I wrote them all down with definitive detail.
There were also times of trails and roommates wanting to maim, if not kill, each other but the important part was that we got through it all okay.
Here are some of my favorite pictures:

And just keep in mind, these are only a fraction of my favorites...... if some of them need explanation, just ask and I'll gladly explain what's going on or why it is my favorite.

Two down, two to go

"A room without books is like a body without a soul." - Cicero

So now I only have two finals left. My presentation went good I think, especially since everyone else in my group pretty much bs all their info. I finished the paper and hopefully it'll be good enough. The regular spanish test went a little bit better than usual but we will see what the final score is later.
My science test went really good I think. I felt really confided for a lot of the questions, especially the ones that went a long the lines of this:
You have half way through the test, good job! Remember don't change any answers unless you are sure you are wrong. Fill in the right answer (c)
A. incorrect
B. incorrect
C. correct
D. incorrect

I love my science teacher and am really sad to see him go because I won't be taking another one of his classes. He is a geology professor and since I'm just not that into rocks I don't think it's going to work out. Ha ha.

Oh and today the weather was sooo nice! It got up to around 55 degrees so me and my roomies went down to the stadium and laid out on the turf. It was so nice to get some sun, even though I now have the first sunburn of the year, it's not that bad. My roommate Kim got her arm burned, in a strip, and nothing else is red. I feel kinda bad, but oh well.
The sad thing about the end of the semester is knowing I won't see a lot of people ever again. Like a lot of people in my ward that I'm not good friends with but I say hi too. Or the people I look forward to talking to in my classes. Oh how I will miss my theater class. They always make me smile.
Well I should go study some more for my American Foundations final.
Gotta Blaze!

Short update

"The two most engaging powers of an author are to make new things familiar and familiar things new." ~Samuel Johnson

Life is very stressful right now. I have never had to deal with finals before, not even last semester. This time I have to deal with 4. Two are for spanish, one I took and got a 97% on, one for American foundation, and the last is for Science foundations. Did I also mention I had a regular test in spanish, I have a ten page paper, and a group presentation due on monday? All for spanish. Why did I ever get it into my head that I HAD to take that class I'll never know.
Other than the stress from finals almost killing me, I'm doing good. The group (my roommates, next door, Sea Bass, and Nate) has been going to play wallyball a lot lately. It's so much fun! Though I come out every time with huge bruises on my wrists from it. I don't think I'm getting enough vitamin K.
I think it's sad that everyone becomes comfortable with each other just as the semester is ending. Like last night my FHE sister came over and talked to me for an hour and a half because she was just having a bad day and needed someone to talk to. And I'm finally getting to know other neighbors. But that just seems how life goes.
Conference today was amazing as usual and sparked good conversation in my apartment.
Well that's about it for now.
