So there is this thing going around FB to make your own band/album/art for said album. Only in an interestingly fun way. Here are the instructions:
1. Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.
3. Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use Photoshop (or something like Picasa or picnik.com) to put it all together.
5. Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" or "comment" and TAG the friends to get them to join in.
Surprisingly it is WAY addictive. Here are four that I did for myself and helped other people do.
This one was mine, and the first I did. It turned out really cool
This was for Kat. I like this one the second best, which is funny because it is the second one I did.
This one was for Jordon. I didn't really like the color of the font because you can't read all of the Album's name very well, but Jordon did and that is all that matters.
This one was for Elysha and was semi hard to do because if one color of font worked in one area it wouldn't work in another and you can still kinda see that. But I really, really like the name.
I will probably post more later... If only graphic design was this easy I go into it as a major ha ha.
