Remember that one kid....

"Today, my sick father got a card shower from elementary kids at our local church. Most of them were cute saying, "Jesus loves you", "feel better" and such. The one that went on our fridge said, "Dear Mr. Joe, I'm sorry you are sick. I hope you don't die." MLIA"

So pretty much this Conference was great. One because conference is always awesome, and Second Georgia(also known as FHE) flew out for it. Oh did I mention he'll stay until November when I fly out there for Thanksgiving?

I'd say life is going great... except for the fact I haven't seen him since Sunday due to potato harvest

Tolerance, ever heard of it?

It makes me sad that people don't practice what they preach. I was driving through Utah this past weekend and I saw a "No Ground Zero Mosque" billboard. This made me so frustrated. Do people even realize what is going on with this thing? No, they don't. It's not even on ground zero or a mosque.
Here is an article explaining what it is and what it's trying to do:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11233282

It amazes me that we condem a people for what so few do. And how we keep being retarded about it, ever heard of racial profiling or about religious profiling?
Ever heard of 'Burn a Qoran Day?'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11238062

It makes me sick. It's supposed to be a stand up and fight terrorists thing on 9/11. I'm sorry, in my point of view your proving the terrorists right, that we are inferior. I'm mean come on people, you are making them more mad and solidifying their arguments against us. Do you even realize that it's like .0001% of the Islamic population that are terrorists? You're just pissing off the rest of Population too. Can you even imagine the effects this is going to have on the peace talks between Israel and Palestine?! Think before you act.

Misunderstandings and.....Ice cream?

Have enough sense to know, ahead of time, when your skills will not extend to wallpapering. -Marilyn vos Savant

So pretty much a recap on things.
I need to go out with Hols for pie. Why? It is a tradition with our group of friends to go out for pie when you break up with a boy.
That's right folks, on June 17th 8 something in the morning, B.M. broke up with me. That's all I'm gonna say on a public forum.

I also said goodbye to some new roommates. Roommates I really liked, but for some reason there was always a wall there (the some reason being I cut myself off from most people after above mentioned date). I always had a blast when talking to them and they were excited when I would come in and have them go look at the sky for something I found cool.... I think they were excited anyway.
Another reason for the wall, Gryff.... She never felt accepted by them, that they were always judging her. And from what I can tell they felt the same from her. Oh the misunderstandings in life.

Did I mention I need to go for a double serving of Frosties with Hols, and owe Gryff ice cream? I would say I owe the other roommates ice cream as well but we had already moved apartments when said act took place. See apartment 24 is getting remodeled, yay, so they had already gone home and we had already moved to 11.

Why would I owe ice cream you might ask. You just need to know the codes of life my friend, I would reply. Then who incurred this owing of ice cream you would say. Why that FHE brother I mentioned a while back, I would say with a slight smile.

Timing, however, needs to be found, then taken out and shot repeatedly. Why? the dear FHE brother has left for his home state for the next 5 months. Guess what happened with B.M.? Oh yeah I told you, he left for five months. Thus Timing, when I find you we are going to have some things to... discuss.

Just a brief over view of what happened:
Saturday we went to the Blue Angels (it was amazing and I recommend everyone go and see them). I dropped him off at his brother's house in IF and we said goodbye. Meaning a hug and some words. On my way back to the Burg I got a text saying he left something in the car. I told him I was almost home already and I would drop it off the next day.... Hey being out in the blaring heat and sun for 7 hours really takes it out of a girl.
I then made it home and was moving stuff out of the living room to the bedroom, while texting FHE (his new nickname) and trying to decide if I wanted to ask to go back down, when a voice from the doorway said "You didn't think I'd leave it like that did you?" and low and behold FHE was standing in the doorway.
We then talked for the next thirty minutes in the house, then moved onto campus. And NO we did not go to the gardens. Just the hill at the back of the Hinckley parking lot. We sat there for the next hour and.... ten minutes teasing one another about the ice cream worthy action. He thought I would crack first, I was betting he would.
After that hour and ten minutes the sprinklers came on and we moved into the parking lot of my complex leaning against his brother's car. Where we proceeded to tease one another for the next twenty minutes!
Wanna bet on who broke?

Last chance to place em....

He did. I win! I mean, I hate you timing.
We talked for another thirty minutes and then curfew was upon us.
Sunday I drove down after church to IF and said goodbye once again.. He is now in Georgia.......... Curse you who haven't created transporters yet!
We shall see what happens when Winer semester rolls around.

There is the exciting news for the week..... Not much but meh.....

Birthday

"Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems."
Rainer Maria Rilke
2/4 post

First off, what do you think of the new header? I'm still trying to decide on it.
Anywayz, my b-day is coming up so I thought I'd better put up a list for all to see and make my wants and wishes known.

List:
1. Shade undershirts and 3/4 sleeved shirts. Any colors in the 3/4 sleeved shirts, white would be appreciated in the undershirt but once again any will do. Mediums work great. (I would have put a visit from BM up here but since I'm pretty sure that's already going to happen, it didn't seem necessary)
2.Money. I am a college student after all, even though I do have a job (details in post 3/4 coming soon) money is always welcomed
3. The latest Within Temptation cd that I mentioned at Christmas time.
4. Printer paper. Lame I know but I have to get some needs too!
5. World peace
6. Oh and Alice in Wonderland if it has come out to DVD by this time.

The Moose is on the Loose!

"A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men."
-Roald Dahl

This is only one of 4 posts that I need to do, so expect some more coming in the next few days.

Sunday was stake conference. Not any stake conference mind you, stake conference for all of Eastern Idaho. Meaning that President Monson spoke! Along with C. Scott Grow, his name always makes me laugh, Elder Hales, and Barbara Thompson spoke. But this is all beside the point I would like to make.
While driving to stake conference, yes the Hart is just across campus but Gryf hurt her ankle and we were headed to pick her up from a RM meeting, my roommates spotted something a little passed the stop sign.
"Is that a horse?" "No, it's a donkey." "No, it's a MOOSE!"
Yes there was a moose on the loose. We watched a cop car chase it. So we followed kinda. As we turned around to actually pick up Gryf, there was some confusion to her location at this point, we found the cop circling blocks slowly. Apparently moose are not so easy to track in the city. So we drove along a side street only to meet another cop and a guy on a fourwheeler looking for the moose. Apparently we have better eyes because as we passed an apartment complex Meg, one of my new roommates, found the moose hiding behind a tree. See? Even moose hid from the police.
Well we then had to go to stake conference, I wanted to continue moose watching, but it turns out that they finally found the moose and tranquilized it and took it back to the wild.

Oh 'Burg, what will you come up with next?

FHE

"Loafing is the most productive part of a writer's life." ~James Norman Hall

This week I met my new F.H.E. family. I was worried since last semester our family was less than great. Just to give you a peak into our family one of the guys, who was 29, reminded me of one of K lah's old boyfriends. You know the redheaded one (since I am not allowed to call him by his old nickname).
Anyway I was REALLY worried since we have all of our guys from the guys dorm. I instantly thought 18 year old guys. Great. However we seem to have the range of guy personalities that are up here at school. Really we do.
For most of the night we were in my apartment just having fun waiting for cookies to bake. And most of the time I was talking to a guy who got back from his mission in Spain in November. Why? Because he knows about Firefly, he is a big fan, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and several other things I find so interesting. Yes, I was flirting with someone other than BM but by the strictest definition of the word flirt which is:behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but for amusement rather than with serious intentions.
This guy's reaction in finding out that I am in fact dating someone was pretty funny too. "Man, why did you have to go and do that?!"
I think this will be a pretty fun F.H.E. semester.

Week two and a half of long distance relationship is going okay... 1 month of dating was today.... Phone calls do not make up for talking face to face, just by the way.

Oh and the M in MAC pack turned three Saturday. When did she turn 2? Where is the cute little baby with the fohawk? I am getting old....

A short explanation

"You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back."
-Barbara de Angelis
So the pictures from the previous post were shots taken for Gryf's story book. See she is making her little brothers' birthday present. Isn't that awesome? Well anyway all of us got dressed up, mostly in costumes Gryf made and or modified in someway, and went and took pictures. Here are some of them.
Me, Gryf and BM looking cool for our quest

Gryf scolding BM for being silly (they are brother and sister in the story)

Huff... I have no idea who here character was... But she looked awesome. She was a love interest for BM in the story and kinda in real life.

Me and BM...

BM going on his quest to become a great king.

I was "Princess Kanani" and Lady of the Lake for this story. Here I am the Lady of the Lake giving direction to Gryf

Gryf and BM looking awesome! Aren't I good with a camera?

LL was the evil queen.

I love this picture so much!

Another good picture by me =}

I love this picture so much. It is so epic. Or at least to me it is.

Yes, we are in college, and yes we had an awesome time!
And to explain about BM: (that will be his nickname until something better comes along)
We met last semester through Gryf. They served in the same mission, Russia, at the same time. My roommate liked him so, you knowing me, I shoved a small like under the rug.
This semester he started to hang out with us lots and lots after Gryf's party (sorry I never wrote about that).
Come to find out he liked me too. And this past Monday we became official =}
The bad news is that he is going home for the summer, his hometown is 5 hours away ={
He is my first boyfriend and I am glad that he is the wonderful person he is.

So yeah... that's the update for now.....

Giggle Giggle Sqee

"People have forgotten how to tell a story. Stories don't have a middle or an end any more. They usually have a beginning that never stops beginning."
~ Steven Spielberg

I am so giddy, Gryff is laughing at me a lot tonight. I just wanted to post that.... And it all started off with me remembering that last night I put bread in the toaster and never got it out.... Well until I got home from class and pulled it out. Hehe.
Like I said I'm so giddy. I'll write about why later, when the giddiness has fled.

It's because of stupid people

"It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top." -Henry Ward Beecher

Don't die of shock, two posts in one day I know.

So I was walking home today. I was standing at the point I usually cross the road at, it's called a crosswalk for that reason, waiting for a break in the cars so I could cross safely. When there was I proceeded to cross and this guy barrels passed, hitting my shoulder in the process. When we get to the other side he says to me, "You know you have the right away, right?" Excuse me? Duh I know. I wasn't raised ignorant. I also know that if I step out into the road with a bunch of cars coming at me I'll get hit. And just because you have the right doesn't mean you should use it. I have the right to b*** slap you for touching me and I have the right to claim self defense for it too. Doesn't mean I will.
All of this ran through my head, my response? "Yeah."

I will restate the reason for this post. JUST because you have the "right" doesn't mean you should use it.

Catch Up

"It takes a great man to be a good listener" – Calvin Coolidge

So there has been a lot that has been going on. First of all K lah has moved up here. This is awesome. I go over several times a week with Gryff. I not only get to spend lots of time with K lah and A of the MAC Pack, I get fed great organic food. Plus I get to help cook and grind wheat. I'm finding if things are cooked the right way, healthy isn't necessarily gross.

I've been asked out on two dates, not that I have gone on said dates, not through fault of my own. The first was his best friend came into town and the other was I was to be at an event for the committee I am on and he didn't come.

Oh yeah the committee. I'm on the committee for Best Of. Basically I go to shows and hand out flyiers. Also Best Of is supposed to be the best of all the talent shows acts in one thing. However as I witnessed on Friday it's not that way so much. Oh kinda fun story. As I was sitting at Acoustic Cafe I had a list of the performers in front of me, so I could remember the acts I liked. Anyway a name looked cool and when the performer got up I kinda recognized her. It wasn't till she started to talk that I realized why I did. 5 years ago she was my counselor at Outdoor Youth Adventure! I was 14 the last time I saw her. How crazy is that?! I wanted to go find her but I felt kinda dumb going up to her and saying "Hi, do you remember me? I was in one of your groups from five years ago from how many weeks in the summer?" Yeah you would have felt dumb too, so I didn't.

Still trying to find a summer job. I am applying to summer camps so if you spot one send me an e-mail.

"Plant a seed of friendship; reap a bouquet of happiness." -- Lois L. Kaufman
So the two things that I am learning in college right now: People think I am amazing and I'm not as amazing as they think I am.

Oh and Charlie DIED! He won't recharge. Experiments are set for tomorrow to see what it is. Hopefully he will be better soon
That's all for right now.

Truly a geek moment.

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known" -Carl
So walking through the snow, know I say that with the loosest meaning possible it was more like little flakes of dandruff, yesterday I had a geek moment. You know that scene in Empire Strikes Back after Luke has killed the wampa and is wandering in the blizzard? Yeah I felt like that yesterday with the staggering and the snow pelting me and all the while I was trying to keep my scarf over my face. the geek part is I thought of that scene!

Oh and an over view of Thanksgiving. It was pretty good. Gryffindor(Gryf) and I went to my house for a week and then went to her parents for two days.
We actually didn't get sick of each other the whole time. Though now it's starting to get like Gryffindor and Slytherin again. Oh well it's just finals I think... I hope.

Christmas List

"A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely."
Pam Brown

So it has come to my attention that Christmas is coming up. Or the Yule of the year if that floats your boat. I have had several requests on what I want for this time of year. Well here you go.

Books:
When Souls Had Wings by Terryl Givens( I think)

CDs:
Awake by Skillet
I am not quite sure of the name of the new Within Temptation album. They have one that came out on the 30th called An Acoustic Night At The Theatre but I don't think it has their new single Utopia on it. So the cd that i want may not even be out yet.

Decorations:
So this is not your typical decorations. These are stickers for Charlie, my dear computer. You may have already seen that he has two; One that says "BYU-Idaho girl" and the other says "Collective Punishment hurts Everyone." Well my goal is to fill up the case with such stickers. Bands, political statements (the one I really want is the Coexist one that uses the symbols of different religions), things like that. Here is an example: http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/sticker-pack-1.html

What is really needed:
What is really needed though is money. I am a poor college student after all and I have bills I need to pay.

Well there you have it. A list for Christmas

Apologies

"I'm not a genius. I'm just a tremendous bundle of experience."
– R. Buckminster Fuller
Apologies are in order because it has come to my attention that I have not posted in the past five weeks. My bad.
Well my roommates and I get along great. There was a point where Nannette and I were secretly almost hating each other but now all is good. We laugh a lot, a lot now. It's so awesome.
To show how my apartment is like a mini family I have pictures. (if you want to see all of them go to facebook)

This is my favorite one bytheway just because it shows our house personalities so well
Yup that's right we were the houses from Harry Potter on the 30th of October. Liza(hufflepuff) knitted all the scarves and made the house crest badges we are wearing. She's just plain amazing.

For Halloween this is what I looked like:

Nannette did my hair and makeup. That woman is amazing! I was the Lady of the Forest by the way.

New Job

“If you've heard this story before, don't stop me, because I'd like to hear it again.” ~ Groucho Marx

So Monday was my first day at my new job. "What is that job?" you might ask, "a model for the art department" I would reply.

So I leave my 12:45 class five minutes early so I can get to the Spori Building by 1:55, sign in, find the class room and get instructions from the teacher on what to do.

I arrive at the Spori at 1:50ish I go to the art office and clock in. I then start looking for classroom 360. I start to doubt that I have the right classroom so I pull out my computer and realize I'm looking for classroom 340. So logically I follow the numbers on the wall, only one problem 339 is down a hall and in a corner. No other doors around it, I start to panic since it's around 1:55 by now. I frantically go down another hall and can't find it so I go back to the art office and ask the student there, they give me a funny look and point to a door that is diagonal to the office. Oh hey 340. Hello looking stupid.
Anyway I go in and I am still the first model there, yeah! But right then the other three models ( all male mind you) walk in. The teacher, who coincidentally gave the talk at my first devotional evah at BYU-I, gives us direction to sit in any of the four chairs in the room. Thankfully the chairs are cushy.

The first thing the students do is draw me for five minutes, I move a little they draw that position, I move again blah blah for thirty minutes. Then said teacher gives an hour lecture on drawing eyes. I was getting paid to listen to art lessons, saweet!

Then I got back into cushy chair and had to sit still for about 50 minutes. I did it but I think I blinked to much but I couldn't help it sometimes. My neck hurt during and after but I'm proud I did it.
Oh and a few things I learned: My forehead is apparently a little to small to be a perfect measurement and I am fun to draw. Oi! You art person who reads my blog, yeah you with the pants! What makes a model or thing fun to draw? The students would not explain this to me, and I am highly curious.

Oh and I stayed still for an extra 15 minutes, so 65 minutes total, cause my group just kept drawing. I didn't really mind cause I don't have anything going on after 2 on monday/ wednesdays besides homework. They thought it was great and I thought it was great cause I got that much more money.

Tomorrow is 2 1 hour and a half drawings. I hope I can do it. I am so glad one of my roommates is trained in the art of massaging. Speaking of roommates I will talk and post video of them later when I compile the movie the way I want it to look.

Well gotta blaze!!

Yellowstone

"Writing is easy. All you do is sit staring at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead."
~ Gene Fowler

So Yellowstone was amazin. We got to see Old Faithful and some other geysers, not to mention we got pretty close to a couple bison and elk.

Yellowstone is really beautiful and I recommend going to anyone who loves the outdoors.

I took more, A LOT more, so if you would like to see them just tell me and we'll figure it out.

Dear Mother

You were right, I need new shoes and I should have brought my basketball with me.
